Contractor's Educational
Service
A Message from our
Instructor...
Continuing
education does not have to be boring! I truly believe in
keeping an audience informed and entertained at the sametime.
Topics like safety, worker’s comp, ethics etc., can be taught
in an interesting and creative manner. It is up to the instructor,
and in fact the duty of the instructor to ensure that his
audience is inspired, entertained and educated.
The instructor is the key variable in any type of education.
I am a professional speaker to the construction industry.
Since 1987, I have been speaking to some of the largest
construction associations and companies in the U.S. and
Canada. I have entertained on the NASCAR circuit and have
appeared for three years on The Discovery Channel for a
home improvement show. Since 1997I have taught continuing
education for Florida Licensed Contractors and have done
so with humor, motivation and sincerity.
I might be known as The Construction Comic®, but I take
my job as an instructor seriously. I am constantly attending
continuing education myself to improve my knowledge as an
instructor. In 2000 I attended the Florida Building Code

seminar. In 2002, I became an OSHA authorized trainer and
in 2003 I attended the FL Assoc. of Insurance Agents update
on worker’s comp laws and a mold remediation seminar put on
by the PHCC.
Get the most out of your continuing education experience.
If you’re going to sit somewhere for 14 hours of your life
make sure it is at least informative, interesting, humorous
and fun – don’t settle for anything less. You’re not a captive
audience on a cruise ship – you have a choice. Hold your instructor
up to a higher standard and vote with your feet if you are
unhappy.
I look forward to seeing you,
Carmen Ciricillo
